Matte Black Standing Seam Roof Install

Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since I last posted, but I’m excited to share the details of a recent project we just completed.

As you can see in the photos, this house has some very unique architectural features that set it apart. Not only does this home feature a bright and spacious interior but the house is also complemented by the natural beauty of mature trees that surround the property and adorn the charming neighborhood.

One feature that stands out in this home is the inclusion of hidden eavestroughs. These concealed gutters not only add to the house’s overall appearance but also play a crucial role in efficiently managing rainwater. The seamless integration of these elements reflects the thoughtful design and attention to detail that went into creating this beautiful property.
The journey of transformation began with the need to address the aging cedar roof that had seen better days. All the components, including flashings and cap flashings around the home’s perimeter, were in poor condition. We removed and thoroughly cleaned everything, and then we started installing a matte black standing seam metal roofing system, ensuring a durable and stylish upgrade.

The house originally featured three skylights, one of which was a distinctive triangle. Responding to the homeowner’s preference, we converted two large square skylights into two smaller skylights and two roof opening windows. Overcoming the challenge of creating flashings around these intricate narrow areas without any exposed fasteners became a notable achievement for us.

Our next task involved addressing a dead valley, and the result of completing that task is showcased in the images. We seamlessly replaced all cap flashings without any exposed fasteners, maintaining a clean and polished look. Additionally, we took the extra step to match the silver color frame of a front window with the cap flashing in that specific area.

Under the chimney, a sunroom presented a persistent leak issue beneath the window. Successfully reconstructing this area not only addressed the leak but also enhanced its overall safety and security, giving it a classy appearance in the process.

While this project seemed straightforward at first glance, it presented numerous challenges that demanded the utilization of our skills and knowledge. The house, with its non-standard features, required extensive custom work and manufacturing.

Despite the complexities, we are thrilled with the final results of this project and have learned valuable lessons along the way. This beautiful architectural creation is now safeguarded by a top-notch seamless metal roofing system, promising lasting performance and an elegant aesthetic for generations to enjoy.
